SITE MANAGER/COMMUNITY DEVELOPER
SALARY: $17-19/hr DOE
STATUS: Full time: 40 hours/week (Some weekends/evenings required)
LOCATION: New Futures at Windsor Heights: SeaTac, WA
ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION
New Futures is a nationally recognized nonprofit serving children and families in South King County whose mission is to partner with families to create communities where children thrive. Our integrated, culturally relevant programs in low income apartment complexes build skills, foster connectedness, and promote strengths.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
As Site Manager/Community Developer you will supervise three staff members working across different programs and from different disciplines, providing individual supervision and overseeing the overall daily operations at the site. You will partner with community members to help you develop programs and activities that are relevant and beneficial to the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train and supervise all other site staff;
- Provide support and guidance around daily program operations in After School Program, Youth Program, and Family Advocacy programs;
- Ensure that all evaluations and reports are completed;
- Ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance with New Futures policies and procedures;
- Coordinate relationships with external organizations that bring resources to the site;
- Act as site representative within organization, communicating site information and needs to rest of organization and keeping site staff informed of larger organizational activities and decisions;
- Serve on Leadership Team and participate in organizational planning and decision making;
- Facilitate and lead site meetings;
- Meet individually with staff on a regular basis;
- Conduct annual evaluations with staff;
- Closely work with staff to ensure that services are integrated across program boundaries and maximize benefits for all participants;
- Actively evaluate overall program performance on a regular and ongoing basis and use collected information to make needed improvements;
- Develop and/or participate in new initiatives to expand programs and services in response to identified needs in the community and goals of the organization;
- Ensure that programs are meeting goals and are aligned with New Futures mission and philosophy in collaboration with Programs Director;
- Be present in all site programs and activities on a regular basis and observe staff working in those programs;
- Meet regularly with other Site Managers and Programs Director;
- Build and foster effective relationships with community members;
- Work with the community to identify and implement projects that residents feel will strengthen their families and their communities;
- Coordinate events and activities that are relevant and responsive to the community;
- Partner with other site staff to offer opportunities for community members to come together;
- Facilitate and mediate meetings among community members and/or staff as needed;
- Act as liaison with apartment management and maintain regular communication with them;
- Oversee staff schedules and related logistics;
- Manage site program budgets and monitor expenditures;
- Coordinate ordering of site supplies and maintaining site equipment;
- Take lead in ensuring site participation in New Futures activities and meetings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: BA in related field required. Masters strongly preferred.
- At least two years supervisory and program management experience.

- Experience doing direct service work;
- Experience working with diverse communities;
- Strong organizational skills managing complex tasks;
- Solid communication (written and oral), collaboration, and intervention skills;
- Demonstrated ability to motivate staff members towards excellence in their work;
- Demonstrated ability to develop skill level and competence in staff members;
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural/multi-ethnic environment;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, volunteers, and the wider community;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities in a culturally relevant way;
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and adequate insurance and safety record to drive participants;
- Must be able to work at least two evenings a week.
