Position: Grants Coordinator

Site: Administrative Office (Burien, WA)

Position Overview: New Futures seeks an experienced grants coordinator with a proven track record of success who will be a passionate advocate for New Futures’ mission and our strengths-based approach. The candidate must have experience with foundation, corporate and government grantwriting. The grants coordinator reports to the development director. This is an exempt, salaried, 32-hour per week position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual corporate, foundation and public fundraising strategy.
  • Identify corporate, foundation and public funding prospects.
  • Research, coordinate and write accurate and engaging funding proposals.
  • Ensure timely and complete proposal submissions and follow-up tracking.
  • Coordinate site visits with institutional donors.
  • Prepare and submit timely funding acknowledgements and reports.
  • Maintain corporate, foundation and government grant records.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to New Futures’ vision, mission and values.
  • Demonstrated respect for a variety of lifestyles, behaviors, cultural and spiritual practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least three years of grantwriting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Compensation: $32,000-$36,000 for 32-hour per week position, DOE, plus benefits, including medical, dental and flexible spending account, vacation and sick leave.
