It’s summer! With the arrival of warmer weather comes the perfect chance for outdoor adventures and the opportunity to relax with a good book. Why not head over to the Elliott Bay Book Company to find that summer read you’ve been looking for, and support New Futures kids and families at the same time!
New Futures is thrilled to have been chosen as the Elliott Bay Book Company’s July pick for “Books for a Change”. During the month of July we will have a display at Elliott Bay with some selected bestsellers (along with a few of our kids’ favorite books) and a portion of these sales will be donated to New Futures, to support our education programs and support services for kids and families living in low-income apartment complexes in South King County.
We are very excited for this opportunity to partner with Elliott Bay! This partnership is a perfect fit: here at New Futures we know that literacy is the key to academic success. That is why our After School Program focuses on building literacy skills for kids who have been identified by their teachers as being most at risk for school failure.
