$25 purchases three months of healthy snacks for one child in our after school program so they are ready to learn in our program. Healthy snacks also provide an opportunity for nutrition education and for tutors and children to socialize together and build relationships.

$100 enrolls one child in one week of rigorous and inspirational after school programming so they are more successful in school.

$150 delivers our teen program for one month for one youth struggling to succeed at school and who needs the most support to prepare for college.

$200 provides six months of basic needs support to parents of children in New Futures programs – like access to food, clothing, employment assistance, and adult English classes.

$2500 funds one tutor for one full year of the after-school program. We hire teens from the community to be tutors and mentors for their young neighbors. These teens receive job training and take leadership roles within the community. Teen tutors make a huge difference for the children in the after-school program because the young children see positive role models within their community. We also see the teens themselves blossom into their new position in the neighborhood.

$5000 funds fieldtrips for the entire after-school program for one year. Each of the 120 children in the program take 7-10 fieldtrips over the school year. These fieldtrips are linked with the after-school program curriculum and serve to expose children to a broader horizon. Some of the many fieldtrips include visiting colleges, touring museums, and learning about marine life at local beaches.
