Thank you to the nearly 500 community partners and supporters who attended New Futures’ 2009 Benefit Breakfast for making the event such a great success!

We are inspired by the admirable accomplishments of our three outstanding youth scholarship winners: Hansel Diego, Elizabeth Bermudez and Khalid Abate. We are so proud of these three young people. They reflect the determination we see every day in the children, youth, and families we partner with as they strive to improve their lives and meet their goals.

And, we are inspired by the generosity of our guests. With your help, we raised more than $137,000 to sustain New Futures’ highly effective, culturally relevant programs for children and youth, families, and community-building at four low-income apartment complexes in South King County. We look forward to keeping you updated about the impact of these gifts in the coming year

Student Testimonial

“New Futures allowed me to better myself in more ways than I could possibly describe. I met individuals — friends that made me feel at home again, who accepted me and appreciated my culture. I have even met people who deep down I consider to be family.”
Khalid Abate, 2009 Scholarship Winner
